COMSOL MULTIPHYSICS 2016 CONFERENCE

meeting of users and supporters of the COMSOL Multiphysics system

The first year of the COMSOL 2016 conference took place in the pleasant surroundings of Pavlov in the hotel Iris on 26 and 27 May 2016. Some of the participants arrived already on Wednesday, 25.5. evening, so we could go for a small walk together with tasting local wines. Those who did not go for a walk could use the wellness services of the hotel Iris (whirlpool, sauna, …).

The first day of the meeting offered information about news, tips and tricks and 4 afternoon interactive Master Class lessons. The dinner was followed by a mass climb to the ruins of Děvičky Castle and a visit to the wine cellar of the winery Vilém Topolanský. The fun in the cellar stretched well past midnight and the dulcimer band left no one in peace – eventually it came to dance creations.

The second morning was devoted to the contributions of the users – 6 lectures. We thank all those who presented the results of their work and significantly enriched the program of the event. The official part of the meeting was concluded by a joint lunch.

In total there were 26 of us at the meeting, the mood was pleasantly business during the day and socially relaxed in the evening. The weather was good for us, besides the lecture hall we could also enjoy the sunny outdoor terrace with friendly service. I believe that the meeting fulfilled both the professional and social function in terms of getting new information and establishing contacts.
